Very disappointed and very misleading. The original proof of the flyer they sent was of a good standard, it enticed me to place an order. However, this was a digital print. I placed my order based upon the quality of the proof they sent me. After paying and placing an order for 5000 flyers, the colours, the quality and the paper was different to the original proof. The colours did not represent my brand correctly, they looked very different to the proof the originally sent. The paper was a different shade of white and the overall finish was not as sharp. I subsequently learned, the proof they send out, is different to the end product you receive. Annoyingly, at no point in the whole process was I made aware that I would receive a different to the proof they send you. It was because they print a large run via a lithograph technique, not digital printing. I have requested that they print this information on the proofs, that this is a digital print proof. Those ordering large quantites, may have lithograph printing which we can not provide a sample proof of prior to purchase. I felt very mislead. They said they would take my comments on board and consider this as an option. I just think why would you send a customer a quality proof, if it is only what something might look like, your version will not look the same.

The Customer Experience team should have made it clear that we cannot supply a proof for colour checking as is stipulated in section 2 of the StressFreePrint terms and conditions. We can only apologise if this was not discussed in your communications and we will be raising it with the team to ensure this is made much clearer in the future. I can see from our system that the team has already offered to refund any leaflets returned to us as per our StressFreePrint 100% quality guarantee. If you are not 100% happy with your products then we will reprint (wherever possible) or refund your items upon return. We can print directly from most popular PC and Mac file formats, including:
• PDFs (preferred)
• JPEGs (preferred)
To upload your artwork, add a product to your shopping cart and then drag and drop your files into our file uploader. Alternatively you can supply your artwork to us at any time via WeTransfer. On receipt, our printing egg-heads will double check your files and let you know if they spot any problems.
Before sending us your artwork, please note that a photograph or other pixel-based image needs a resolution of just 72 dpi (dots per inch) to display correctly on screen. However, our high resolution printing process requires images of around 300 dpi (although for large format posters - A2 size and above - images of 100dpi are usually adequate). Anything less may print with a pixelated 'jaggy' look. Please check the resolution of your images carefully... just because they look good on screen doesn't mean they'll print properly!
Not to worry though. If we spot anything which could affect the quality of your order, we will be in touch to let you know about the issue before pressing ahead.
If you're a dab hand at creating artwork and are comfortable adding 3mm bleed and crop marks then great. If all this sounds like Double Dutch then don't worry, our talented designers will handle this for you.
All we ask is that you supply the artwork in CMYK and keep all important elements of your design at least 3mm away from the edge of your artwork (we call this our "safe zone"). Although we use state-of-the-art equipment, some movement is inherent within all printing processes. If important elements of your design are placed too close to the edge of the paper, not only will it look unprofessional, but there's a chance they may get trimmed off. That doesn't mean you can't extend a background image or colour to the very edge of your artwork. That's fine of course. But please don't put your contact details along the very edge of the sheet. We'd hate your phone number to end up on our cutting room floor.
