Supplying a print ready file means your job goes straight to print with no delays. Follow these requirements and your A5 artwork will arrive exactly as you intended.
Format: PDF preferred (press-ready PDF/X-1a or PDF/X-4)
Colour mode: CMYK – RGB files may shift in colour when converted at our end
Resolution: 300 dpi minimum; lower resolution will print soft or pixelated
Bleed: 3mm bleed included on all sides (total file size 154 × 216 mm)
Fonts: Embedded or outlined – this prevents text reflow if a font is missing
A5 is 148 × 210 mm in portrait orientation. Flip those figures to 210 × 148 mm for landscape. When you set up your artwork file, add 3mm of bleed on every side, making the total document size 154 × 216 mm. Keeping all important text and images at least 5 mm inside the trim edge ensures nothing gets cut off during finishing.
Yes. Both 250gsm and 350gsm card stocks are available in A5. At 250gsm you get a sturdy, professional feel ideal for menus, postcards and brochure covers. At 350gsm – our heaviest option – the result is a thick, rigid card that works for premium invitations and loyalty cards.
For standard leaflets and flyers, 130gsm is the cost effective choice. Step up to 170gsm when you want a noticeably premium feel that still folds cleanly. If your leaflet needs to stand up on a counter or survive repeated handling, 250gsm card is worth considering.
