Designing for a Luxury Stock
A luxury stock can do a lot of the work for you, so the artwork doesn’t always need to be complicated. Clean typography, plenty of space and a more restrained use of colour can give the paper room to show through and help create a more elegant finish.
It’s worth thinking about how much of the stock your design will actually leave visible too. If the artwork uses large areas of colour or covers most of the card, some of the character you chose the paper for can get lost.
That doesn’t mean the design has to be minimal, but it’s worth keeping the stock in mind while you’re putting the artwork together.
