Artwork Help

Uploading your artwork? Just add the product to your basket, complete your order and you’ll then be prompted to upload your artwork via our file uploader. Prefer to send it separately? No problem — you can send files anytime via WeTransfer. Once received, our print-savvy team will give your files a quick once-over and let you know if anything looks off.

Need a helping hand getting started? Head over to the Template Files tab where you’ll find blank artwork templates you can download in a range of formats. They’re there to make life easier and help you nail the right setup first time.

Before you hit send… A quick reminder that images need to be high resolution for print — 300dpi is ideal. Just because something looks crisp on screen (usually only 72dpi) doesn’t mean it’ll print well. Low-res files can come out fuzzy or pixelated, so it’s worth double-checking before uploading.

Don’t panic though! If we spot anything that might affect the quality of your order, we’ll get in touch before anything goes to print.

Artwork tips: If you’re comfortable adding 3mm bleed and crop marks, brilliant. If not, don’t worry… our artwork team can take care of that bit for you. Just remember to keep anything important (like text or logos) at least 3mm from the edge… that’s your “safe zone”. It’s fine to run background colours or images right to the edge, but don’t risk losing key info to the trimming blade!

Sustainability

Responsible Forestry
We only use paper that’s been sustainably sourced. That means it comes from forests managed with future generations in mind. When you order from us, you’re supporting responsible forestry and helping to protect a renewable resource.

Recycled Paper
We recycle all our waste paper, of course — but we also offer a wide range of products printed on recycled papers made from 100% consumer waste, in a choice of weights.

Print One, Plant One
Every time you place an order with us, we plant a tree. Through our partnership with Ecologi, your print helps fight climate change, deforestation and poverty. By employing local people to plant and protect forests in places like Haiti, Brazil and Kenya, we’re making print something you can feel good about.

About Blueback Paper

Blueback paper is commonly used for posters that are pasted over existing displays. The white front is used for printing your artwork, while the blue reverse helps prevent older posters and darker colours underneath from showing through.

This is particularly useful on advertising sites where posters are changed regularly. New designs can be pasted over previous posters without the artwork underneath interfering with the appearance of the new print.

Our blueback posters are intended for paste-up applications using suitable poster paste. Always make sure you have permission to use your chosen display location.

If you’re looking for something for a shop window, frame or indoor display instead, take a look at our poster printing range for other paper and finish options.

Preparing Your Fly Poster Artwork

Fly posters are often viewed from a distance, so it’s important that the main information is easy to read. Large headings, clear images and enough space around important details will help people understand what you’re advertising.

If you’re printing posters for several locations, we’d recommend checking the display dimensions before ordering to make sure your chosen size is suitable.

For the best print results, supply your artwork as a high-resolution PDF with 3mm bleed and keep important text and logos away from the trim edges. If you need help setting this up, our Help Centre explains how to add bleed to your artwork.

If you’re unsure about your artwork or need help preparing your files, please contact our team. We’re always happy to help.
