Water-resistant posters, such as paper posters coated with a plastic lamination film, can resist minor splashes and being wiped down with a damp cloth, but they're not fully waterproof. Think of waterproof posters as your go-to for extreme weather and outdoor exposure, while water-resistant posters are best suited for more sheltered locations.

The most important thing to remember is that your posters should be securely fixed to a flat surface to ensure they don't get damaged during high winds. Ideally, place them inside a display case or attach them to a sturdy notice board or A-board. We'd recommend using high-tack double-sided tape. Ultra-clear tape is available, which is an ideal solution if the poster is going to be fixed to the inside of a window, ensuring a clean and professional look.
If your waterproof poster gets dirty, you can easily clean it using soap and water with a damp, non-abrasive cloth. Use mild soap and make sure to wash away any residue before it dries. Avoid harsh cleaning chemicals, detergents, and solvents as these may damage the surface of the poster. Keeping your poster clean is straightforward and ensures it remains looking its best.
If your poster is securely mounted inside a display case, behind glass, or under an awning, you can expect it to last for five years or more. Posters subject to the elements may, over time, experience some wear and tear which could reduce their lifespan. The secret is to look after your posters: give them a wipe down every now and again and ensure they remain securely fixed in place.
