As the name suggests, waterproof posters are manufactured to be completely waterproof and, provided they are securely fixed, can withstand almost any weather condition. Water resistant posters (for example, a paper poster coated with a plastic lamination film) can resist minor splashes and being wiped down with a damp cloth but they're not fully waterproof.
We use high quality, tear-proof 400 micron PVC which is flexible but extremely durable. The secret to ensuring your posters can withstand the worst of the British weather is to ensure they are securely fixed to a suitable flat surface.

The most important thing to remember is that your posters should be securely fixed to a flat surface to ensure they don't get damaged during high winds, ideally inside a display case or attached to a sturdy notice board or A-board. We'd recommend using high tack double sided tape. Ultra clear tape is available which is an ideal solution if the poster is going to be fixed to the inside of a window.
If your waterproof poster gets dirty, you can easily clean it using soap and water with a damp, non abrasive cloth. Please use mild soap and remember to wash away any residue before it dries. Avoid harsh cleaning chemicals, detergents and solvents which may damage the surface of the poster.
If your poster is securely mounted inside a display case, behind glass or under an awning, you can expect it to last for five years or more. Posters subject to the elements may, over time, experience damage which will reduce their lifespan. The secret is to look after your posters, give them a wipe down every now and again and ensure they remain securely fixed in place.
